The Suitest Things We’re Obsessed With This June
O
ur monthly roundup of products and objects that we're currently obsessed with is back — and it's our editor in chief's birthday month, so she's taking charge. This month, Cate highlights a few of her personal favorites alongside new things that caught her eye for the start of summer. You'll want to 'Pin' this.
1. MORE THAN JUST A HOUSE BY ALEX EAGLE
”A friend gave me this coffee table book over the holidays and I’ve been flipping through it ever since. Alex Eagle takes you inside the spectacular homes of some of today’s most respected creatives, and the photos are to die for. Obviously, it’s great for creative and interior inspiration, but also as a way to transport yourself.”
2. LE CHIQUITO BY JACQUEMUS
”Jacquemus makes me feel classy and sexy at the same time — I love how the exaggerated lines create these amazing shapes. But I also love the flair and fun of this brand, and that’s probably best exemplified by ‘Le Chiquito. You wear this bag because you enjoy it, not for utility. I also love the summer update with wicker.”
3. ISSOUF 2 VASE FROM LRNCE
”I live in the Netherlands where fresh flowers every week are just part of the routine, so it’s important to have a bunch of vases around to split up your haul. Honestly, I’ve always adored anything from Lrnce — everything is handmade in Marrakesh and the designs so effortlessly balance the heritage of local style with their signature modern twist.”
4. BEACH TOWEL BY BUSINESS & PLEASURE
”Come summer, I always travel with a lightweight, cotton Turkish towel or two. But, I also prefer rocky beaches, and terrycloth provides a bit more cushion for long days of lounging. I recently stumbled upon this yellow striped towel by Business & Pleasure and just adored the color and stripe pattern. They have a matching cooler that I’m lusting over, too.”
5. AFTER SUN FACIAL OIL BY CURÚ SKIN
”I’ve gotten a lot better about using sunscreen, but with my complexion, sometimes a burn is inevitable. I love that this brand is rooted in local tradition, using indigenous Sicilian ingredients like Prickly Pear, Apricot, Borage and Wild Immortelle to heal skin after sun exposure. I think this will be a lifesaver this summer.”
6. GORDISSIMO BY BENAMOR 1925
”Holy grail, one of my favorite brands of all time. I found them years ago on my first trip to Lisbon, before they even had a webshop and you had to just shop in their local — and totally chic — boutiques around town. The brand uses Portuguese ingredients that work wonders on the skin — the Creme de Rosto saving my sensitive skin on multiple occasions. But nowadays, what I’m using all the time is the Gordissimo hand cream which is super rich but absorbs into the skin quickly. My lifesaver for all that sanitizer usage.”
